Black Egg Monument (South)
Located at the active volcanic zone of Owakudani, this giant black egg monument marks the spot where Hakone's famous kuro-tamago (black eggs) are boiled in sulfuric hot springs. Standing next to it offers a fantastic photo opportunity with dramatic, steaming sulfur vents and Mount Fuji as your backdrop. It is a quick, fun stop to celebrate eating an egg said to add seven years to your life.
