Located along the Sukumo River just a short walk from the station, this quiet riverside park is famous for its seasonal firefly viewing (hotaru) in early summer. It is a peaceful, rustic spot where you can escape the main street crowds and listen to the rushing water. While small and basic, it offers a lovely, unpretentious slice of nature perfect for a quick, tranquil stroll.
Insider Tip
Visit in June during the evening to catch the magical fireflies, and wear sturdy shoes as the riverside paths can be uneven.
