Kintoki Shrine

Nestled in Hakone's Sengokuhara forest, this tranquil Shinto shrine is dedicated to Kintaro, the legendary folk hero of superhuman strength. It serves as a scenic trailhead for Mount Kintoki, offering a peaceful, spiritual atmosphere before a hike. Visitors can marvel at giant moss-covered boulders, including one split clean in half, and view a massive metal axe (Kintaro's signature weapon) on the grounds.
