Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art

Perched atop scenic Hijiyama Park, this was Japan's first public museum dedicated exclusively to contemporary art. Designed by renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa, the striking building blends classical and modernist styles to showcase thought-provoking post-WWII works by both Japanese and international artists. Visitors can expect a diverse rotation of experimental exhibits alongside an impressive outdoor sculpture garden.
