Kinkaku-ji

Known as the Golden Pavilion, Kinkaku-ji is a breathtaking Zen temple whose top two floors are completely covered in brilliant gold leaf. It is exceptionally worth visiting to see the structure's stunning reflection cast upon the Mirror Pond, framed by meticulously manicured Japanese gardens. Expect a highly structured, one-way walking path and significant crowds, as this is one of Kyoto's most iconic and photographed landmarks.
