Pontocho Park

Tucked away in Kyoto's historic geisha district, Pontocho Park is a small, paved plaza that offers a rare pocket of open space along the narrow, bustling Pontocho Alley. It is a fantastic spot to rest your feet and people-watch after dining, offering lovely views of the Kamogawa River. While it lacks lush greenery, the park comes alive in spring with a few beautiful cherry blossom trees that frame the traditional wooden machiya architecture.
