Known as Kyoto's 'Monster Street,' this quirky local shopping arcade is themed around the traditional legend of the Hyakki Yagyō (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons). Visitors can spot whimsical, handmade yokai (monster) statues sitting outside traditional storefronts, ranging from paper-lantern ghosts to shoe monsters. While it is a quiet, everyday residential street rather than a bustling theme park, it offers a charmingly bizarre slice of local folklore away from the crowds.
