Hoteiyu is a beloved, retro neighborhood sento (public bathhouse) in Nara that offers a deeply authentic slice of local life. While not a natural hot spring onsen, its mineral-infused baths, electric bath, and incredibly hot sauna make it a perfect, budget-friendly wind-down after a day of walking among Nara's temples. Inside, you will find a charmingly nostalgic atmosphere complete with traditional tiled bath basins and a small rock garden view.
