Ukigumo-enchi is a spacious, scenic park area within Nara Park, famous for its sweeping grassy lawns, cherry blossoms, and the iconic bowing sika deer that roam freely. Located right between Todai-ji and Kasuga Taisha, it offers a peaceful, open escape from the dense temple crowds. Expect picturesque wooden bridges, a flowing stream, and a perfect backdrop for picnics and photography.
Visit in the early morning to feed the deer in peace before the tour buses arrive and the deer lose interest in crackers.
