Yurara-no-yu is a spacious, modern super-onsen located just north of central Nara. It is highly worth visiting for its impressive variety of indoor and outdoor baths, including carbonated springs and soothing jet tubs, which offer a perfect way to unwind after a day of walking through Nara Park. Expect a authentic local atmosphere, excellent sauna facilities, and an on-site restaurant serving hearty Japanese comfort food.
Insider Tip
Take the local bus from Yamato-Saidaiji Station directly to the Oshikuma stop; it's much easier than walking from the station.
