Located along the iconic Dotonbori canal, Giraffe Japan is one of Osaka's largest and most energetic nightclubs, spanning multiple floors with distinct music genres from EDM to hip-hop. It's a premier nightlife destination for travelers looking to experience the city's legendary party scene alongside a lively mix of locals and tourists. Expect state-of-the-art sound systems, dazzling light shows, and a highly energetic, fast-paced atmosphere that peaks past midnight.
GIRAFFE Japan relocated from its former canal-front address to the fifth floor of the Nakaza Cuidaore Building in central Dōtonbori. Security strictly inspects physical government-issued photo identification at the entrance before allowing guests onto the floor. Arriving before 23:00 grants additional drink tickets, and visitors can move between indoor dance floors and an open-air rooftop terrace overlooking the district.
Bring your passport for ID entry checks, and arrive before 11 PM to take advantage of discounted early-bird cover charges.
Admission on weekdays is ¥2,000 for men and ¥1,000 for women. On weekends, men pay ¥3,000 while women pay ¥1,000. Arriving between 22:00 and 23:00 includes three drink tickets, while arrivals after 23:00 include one drink ticket.
Security requires a valid physical government-issued photo ID under your own name, such as a passport, Japanese driver's license, My Number card, or foreign residence card. Health insurance or student cards alone are insufficient without a secondary bank card or additional identification.
Smart casual clothing is recommended. Door staff may deny admission to anyone wearing sportswear, gym clothes, sandals, beach slippers, or excessively casual attire, regardless of whether they have already arranged plans or prepaid.
Take the Osaka Metro Midōsuji, Sennichimae, or Yotsubashi Line to Namba Station. From Exit 14, walk north toward Dōtonbori for five minutes. The club is situated on the fifth floor of the Nakaza Cuidaore Building along the main shopping street.
