When is the rose garden open, and how much does admission cost?
Admission to the Japanese-style rose garden is free. It opens from mid-March through mid-December, operating from 10:00 to 17:00. The rose garden closes on Tuesdays, or the following weekday if Tuesday is a national holiday, though it remains open daily throughout the peak month of May.
Is the children's miniature train currently running?
No. The children's miniature train (kodomo kisha) connecting the rose garden to the traffic playground suspended operations in July 2024. Due to the train being over 40 years old and having specialized dimensions, repair parts are difficult to procure, and restoration remains under long-term review.
What transit routes provide the fastest access to the park entrance?
The park entrance sits immediately outside the west exit of Hamaderakōen Station on the Nankai Main Line and Hamadera-ekimae Stop on the Hankai Tramway. Both stations are within a two-minute flat walk to the central gates. Higashi-Hagoromo Station on the JR Hanwa Line is 450 meters away.
