If you're visiting Tokyo for the first time, this tour with Natsumi could be a fantastic way to learn the main highlights but also a lot of hidden gems in the area. My daughter and I very much enjoyed this walking tour, the guide Sho was informative, genuine and open during a tour with more of a darker side to Tokyo. The tour was well timed as I had been a visitor to Japan a few times and had not experienced a tour like this. 100% recommend if you are looking for a non typical tourist experience.

A truly amazing experience. Our guide was at the meeting location nice and early and the tour was a fun walk with many interesting back streets known only by locals. We took breaks for a small bite and some coffee, and many cool places for high views of the city.Plenty photo opportunities.

What an amazing experience we had with Sho. The tour is so well organised and planned and it really is something different from the others. This tour is not for everyone but I would recommend it for everyone that is ready to discover really what's behind the good face of Shinjuku. I'm so glad we took part of this.

Sho was a great guide! He shared interesting details on how the Tokyo underworld works. I highly recommend it, but it is a bit disturbing as advertised.

Bryant took us on this tour and he was the bomb. Ducking in and out of lanes that could easily be missed, Bryant showed us places to eat (better quality with better pricing and no lines), where to shop (designer to vintage), while he talked about the Japanese culture. He made sure we had a couple stops to rest and hydrate. Stops at a couple of rooftops were also on the itinerary. If you can get Bryant, do it!

Brian has created an incredibly well researched and informative tour, covering the adult scene of Shinjuku. He brilliantly broke down the tour and created a story, as all great guides do. From the beginning to the end, Brian exuded energy and enthusiasm. I really got the sense of just how much he enjoys delivering this tour. We got an additional hour of insight and can truly say this was one of the most fascinating, no holds barred tours. Highly recommended for those with an open mindset.

The best way to discover ueno district. You get an introduction to the two religions of Japan which was very interesting to learn. We also got nice photos and got to to taste some local foods at the market and get some nice tips of where to get best deals for souvenirs.

It was darker than we expected and really sad to see whats happening behind the scenes of Tokyo but we highly recommend to those that want to see how the underworld system works.

We were a little surprised by the content—we expected more of a historical tour, but this focuses on the current situation. Bryant went out over and beyond, when directing me after the tour to a restaurant that seated 7-8 people max. Such a good call wrt the food, and it's spectacularly wrong as to what's going on in Shinjuku.

Es war eine super Tour auch sehr professionell, jedoch wurde die ursprüngliche Zeit nicht eingehalten. Es wurde uns zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt am gleichen Abend eine kostenlose Tour angeboten mit einer plausiblen Begründung für die Absage. Für uns war das so dann absolut okay.

Kenta was a great guide. unfortunately the tour was a bit too short. I would have loved to listen to more cultural and historical facts about the district. Nevertheless I had a good time and got knowledged about the cultural habits, social rules and interesting aspects of dating culture and night life in Tokyo.

We had 2.30 hours with Bryant who took the extra mile to show us everything possible. His english is perfect. Bryant is a proh and he led us through the dark side of the neighbourhood. Believe me you need to listen to this. Everything suddenly made sense why the surroundings look like this as everything stayed back in 80s. The narrative is quite "hard" but this is the dark side. Very interesting tour. Well done Bryant!

This was a really great tour exploring Shibuya and Harajuku area that was of about 90-100 minutes. Bryant really knows his stuff, great shopping places and restaurant recommendations and he is extremely likeable. His English is perfect as it’s native. Tour was with Din who was a fantastic laid back guide who really knew and showed us the hidden gems around Shibuya which we would not have found by ourselves. His recommendations for places to shop and not to shop were perfect. Covered a lot of ground and various locations. Highly recommended as a way to get your bearings around Shibuya and Harajuku.

Natsumi was a perfect guide.So friendly.She showed us some of the hidden back streets in Asakusa after we visited the sensoji temple where they serve amazing Japanese sweets and street foods that are loved by locals which was a nice touch to the tour. She's very helpful, offering to take pictures of us throughout the whole tour too.

This was a really great tour exploring Shibuya and Harajuku area that was of about 2 hours. Shakha really knows his stuff, great souvenir shopping places, cafes and restaurant recommendations. We went down many hidden tiny alleys and quiet corners that was so cool. He also told us his stories about living in Japan for 5+ years as a foreigner which was very interesting too. Can't recommend this tour enough.

Kenta was the best tour guide we had in Japan! He took time to explain everything and answer all our questions! I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to understand a little bit more about the history of shintoism and how it connects with everyday life of japanese people.

Tour guide was very nice but this is a tour that covers only the main touristy spots that are super crowded.There is very little information regarding the Asakusa temple, the title is misleading but it was a interesting tour.

This was such a great tour! We explored places in Shibuya and Harajuku I would of never found on my own. So many really cool hidden spots in the back alleys of harajuku too I had no idea about. After the tour, Shaha even sent us links to other cool spots to check out around the area. Super helpful!

Excellent tour for the higlights of Tokyo. Natsumi was very engaging and knowledgeable and we had a great time with her. We also found it helped us to find our way round the city and we spotted a few places in harajuku for vintage clothes we revisited later in our trip.

Bryant gave us a fascinating tour of Shinjuku's nightlife, visiting hidden places and providing very interesting explanations and stories about the world of adult entertainment in Shinjuku.

This was so great experience. A true "dark side" tour that will lead you into many interesting details about the Shinjuku night life and what lies behind it (something you cannot hear on other tours, believe me because I tried also others). Bryant is a knowledgable young guy and understands well what he talks about (so this tour is a kind of introduction into Japanese society from another point of view). Planned 2h lasted almost 3 hours. So highly recommended - of course under two conditions: that you are curious and not bigot or too much "sensitive" to Japanese weird stuff.

The tour is lots restaurants and cafes off the beaten path to eat. The guide was great and enthusiastic, but don't go on this tour if you want to learn more about local culture.

I’m not usually very interested in history, but I was surprised by how easy it was to understand each explanation and connect with the different temples and shrines teachings. Interesting and a good change from the usual tours; it gives another lense to the Japanese lifestyle - a behind the scenes type of view. Very clear communication also, and seems quite knowledgeable.
