Tucked away in Nara's historic Takabatake neighborhood, Cafe Zuccu is a charming, retro-styled sanctuary housed in a beautifully renovated traditional machiya. Fusing rustic wooden beams with mid-century decor, it is the perfect spot to escape the park crowds and enjoy exceptionally brewed siphon coffee, homemade cakes, and their famous, thick-cut egg salad sandwiches.
