Ginza, Tokyo
Perched on the 6th floor of Ginza's iconic Tokyu Plaza, Raise is a high-end, futuristic night club featuring a massive 27-meter-tall glass wall with stunning views of the Tokyo skyline. It attracts a fashionable, international crowd with its state-of-the-art sound system, dramatic LED lighting, and world-class DJ lineups. Expect a sophisticated, high-energy atmosphere that leans more towards a luxury lounge-club experience than a gritty underground rave.
Japanese guides emphasize that Raise functions as an upscale cashless lounge on the 6th floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza, directly connected to Ginza Station exits C2 and C3. Unlike more informal clubs in Shibuya, the venue strictly prohibits floor guests from wearing outerwear, demands physical photo identification, and requires patrons over 50 to secure VIP tables. Arriving during the prime-time window before midnight provides reduced entry pricing and bypasses the cloakroom delays common around peak hours.
Strict dress codes apply. Avoid shorts, sandals, and sportswear, and bring your physical passport for ID entry.
Raise enforces a strict Ginza nightlife dress code. The venue denies entry to anyone wearing beach sandals, slides, shorts, tank tops, sweatpants, or athletic jerseys. Patrons with visible tattoos are also turned away. Smart-casual attire such as collared shirts, tailored jackets, dresses, and neat footwear is expected.
Guests must be at least 20 years old and show an original physical photo ID, such as a passport, residence card, or driver's license. Photos on smartphones or photocopies are rejected. Additionally, club rules specify that patrons over 50 years of age can enter only by reserving a VIP table.
General floor ticket holders cannot carry backpacks, large bags, coats, or heavy jackets into the party areas. Outerwear and large belongings must be checked at the cloakroom before stepping onto the floor. Only guests with confirmed VIP table bookings may bring coats and personal bags to their seats.
Raise is located on the 6th floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza (GinzaNovo). Take the Tokyo Metro Ginza, Marunouchi, or Hibiya lines to Ginza Station; exits C2 and C3 lead directly into the complex. Hibiya Station exit A1 and JR Yurakucho Station Ginza Exit are within short walking distance.
