1. Nara Deer Park
Start your day by visiting Nara Deer Park, home to over 1,200 freely roaming deer. Considered messengers of the gods in Shinto belief, these friendly deer have become a symbol of Nara. You can even feed them special deer crackers for a fun and interactive experience.
2. Todaiji Temple
Step into history at Todaiji Temple, one of Japan’s most famous and historically significant temples. The temple houses the Great Buddha (Daibutsu), a massive bronze statue standing over 15 meters tall. Explore the temple’s grand wooden structure, one of the largest of its kind in the world, and learn about its deep cultural and religious importance.
3. Higashimuki Shopping Street
